My sister was like you are Debbie with motion sickness. She always wanted to be the driver so she didn't get stuck in the back seat. For years she was a travel agent and whenever she had to go on a cruise, she'd spend almost the entire time in the casino so she wouldn't have to see the motion of the ship moving.

I learned the best way to enjoy a cruise was to go with several rolls of nickels and play the nickel slot machines until we docked at the destination island. There was a lot less rocking and rolling in the middle of the ship and lower down in its belly.
