The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I saw RMNP when snow was knee deep. I was most content to stay in the car while we drove through it. Then we took the Cog Railway up to the top of Pikes Peak because there was an ice cover on the hiking trails. It was an adventure while we visited with #1 son during the Father's Day week in June.

I've never been to Pikes Peak. We were planning on going this past summer, but we never made it. This summer somehow got away from me, I feel like I missed the whole thing.

Make sure that you see Garden of the Gods while in Colorado Springs for Pikes Peak.
That's actually the reason I want to go to Pikes Peak. My daughter went a few years ago and sent me a bunch of pictures of Garden of the Gods. It's absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see it in person. :)

@chrissynemetz and @LTAY1946 you brought up some old memories. Garden of the Gods was a stop on a family vacation when I was a kid and it was cool to see. Pikes Peak brought back a different type of memory...I was having a sinus issue the day we drove up, my ears wouldn't pop to relieve any pressure and the high altitude caused me to pass out in the gift shop. My parents propped me up in front of a machine that you could put change into to get some oxygen. My cousin still enjoys teasing me about that.
