The little dude is coming down with something, sore throat and cough, but it’s warm enough to keep the doors and windows open all day. I really don’t want the ick this year.
I went out to open the pop door on the coop; out of the corner of my eye I saw a plane with its headlights showing waaaaay out in front of it. Wow, I’d never seen that before, what the heck?!
Until I looked again. It was a star and a contrail from a plane. Lines up perfectly and looks like headlights in the moonlight .

The flies here are awful. I don't think I've ever seen so many! Everytime we go in or out another 100 flies come inside.
Oh gross! We had a couple fall seasons like that but not this late in the year. Do you use traps? Those stinky ones with the baits work great.
I have a couple outdoors, can't stand that smell. I made a homemade one for the inside with a water bottle, sugar, and some strawberry tops. It works great. There are so many flies. And yet, there are none in the coops! They are all in the house. It's just mind boggling!

That’s weird. Maybe it’s too dry in the coops and the moisture outside draws them.
