Yummy!
And left over chili that gets stored in the deep freeze comes back to life with a big bang. Much better the second time around after the spices have been cracked open during freezing. One of the nice things about soup, it tastes even better the next day so yay for leftovers!

Only one day? Make a bunch and freeze it in quart containers! Easy dinner any time. One of the nice things about soup, it tastes even better the next day so yay for leftovers!
Nice! Stanley has good products.G’morning everyone
My daughter gave us a gift for the cold mornings here. This bad boy is twice the size of our previous French press, which I’m keeping as a backup, so that’s a win. Now if it actually keeps the coffee hot for a longer period of time we’ll be in great shape.

It snowed here this morning and was super windy all day.Hi Sour, are you expecting any of that white stuff? We're looking at wind and rain here.
Yum!It's been overcast and gray here all day. But there's a big pot of ham & potato soup simmering on the stove, that will take the chill off.
I want a pen of silkies so bad. Wish I knew more about them. Bantam only or do they come in full size? I have a design for a row of broody coops that have a door way into a large pen, not just a run. Each coop would have a small coop for one hen that is broody plus a main coop and run that has a door way into the large pen. A real baby factory.
Thus why I make soup, chili, and spaghetti sauce enough to feed a small army, and it's only DH and myself here. I make 2-3 lb of extra noodles too as the parrots, chickens, and dogs love them. Can't seem to get the cats to eat pasta though. One of the nice things about soup, it tastes even better the next day so yay for leftovers!
Some of the hatcheries I notice put something like not all chicks will be vaulted and bearded. It isn't random to my knowledge but they must have some mixed that are vaulted and some that are not.I had wondered about the vaulted skulls. When ordering from a hatchery I would guess either the type of skull should be designated unless it is a random trait.
Seems more about breed ing in my experiences. Those that can actually see do better. Also not having a vaulted skull helps too. Some silkies are just as hardy as any chickens.
