The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My dad offered me some Tylenol but it never works for me plus I'm not supposed to have it so I declined lol
Right now I take the max dose of Tylenol every day along with another med for arthritis. Plus one other med for arthritis in my hands and fingers. It's a genetic trait I got from my mother. Its worse in cold wet weather.

Which Dr. gives you the arthritis meds? I might need those soon.

Pain Mgt. for the non Tylenol. The Tylenol was suggested by my PCP. I get a Meloxicam for the fingers primarily and Tramadol for herniated disks that is supposed to also help with the arthritis. When going to pain mgt they want total control of all scripts for any kind of pain. Otherwise I'd be seeing a rheumatologist for the arthritis meds.

My biggest source of pain are my hips. Bone to bone and the pain runs down the legs. They don't want to risk a replacement so I get injections. Need to find out how often I can get them because I'm ready for some relief now. The meds only take the edge off the pain. Not even close to controlling it.

So far I have seen a PCP and an Orthopedics PA.

My hands, left hip, left knee and my feet are the problem areas. A nodule showed up in my front left foot several months ago. That one hurts with every step I take.
Maybe Botox will be released to control a lot of these problems. Until FDA approved insurance will not cover even if it works.

A biology prof at the college where I worked said something about tomatoes being bad for arthritis. I so hope he was wrong.
