Our kids from Colorado added an hour to their trip last night. They saw several wrecks in the Fort Worth area. I'm so glad they are here safe.

Good Morning and a Happy New day to all. The weather is going to be nice until Christmas Day with a 98% chance of rain then. Being it is just a country drive I do hope to see the local Great Grand Daughters for a bit and let them hold a baby chick. Need to get the influence in them early for chicken love. My wife needed some kitchen things from Walmart that she didn't want to wait for and she had a rough time of it.

We need more rain. It has been lightly raining here since last night. Our pond is the lowest I've ever seen it. I hate that people are driving in this stuff though. Wet roads and holidays are a bad mix.

I bought rain gear last year to wear out doing chores. It's had very little use until lately. We've been in a very bad drought. I'm going to ask about how well the peanut and cotton farmers fared this year. I can't see how the got seed money back much less made a living wage off their crops.

I'm going to the Farmer's Co Op today and get some feed and see if they have red clover seed. I need to plant some where the kids free range (until I can get the area fenced) so lower their grocery bill.

Late yesterday DH and I ran to Lowe's and Menards (he's doing some plumbing work on the house) and the traffic was horrendous. Hope everyone is done with their shopping!
