Good morning, DMC.
We do get most of our rain in spring, then drought in summer. This is the most rain we've gotten at one time I believe. It's raining again now.

Are you keeping a total? We don’t have a gauge out yet. The birds sure liked the rain. The Robins are singing their hearts out.

Thanks, you also Debby. Yesterday was a great day. The kids practiced for their spring concert so we were all in the gym for a couple hours. I got to walk with the 3rd grade to the library. It was nice out. I didn’t have to take care of any squabbles at recess. One of my kids was gone. I only have him an hour, but it’s a long hour. He is rarely gone. Today should be good too. They have practice this morning again and the concert in the afternoon.

Good morning everyone. Under a severe weather warning today. Flooding, hail, and possible tornadoes. Every time I check the weather it gets worse and arrives sooner.

Here I sit remembering the bomb and fallout shelters of the 60's. We could use one right about now.

I remember those. Never saw one in real life but I'm sure there are some still "out there".

I also remember how they used to have us sit under our desks in the classrooms for bomb drills.

I'd rather face a hurricane than the potential for tornadoes any day. It's the high chance for tornadoes today that has us all uneasy.

I've got time for another hours sleep and then try to figure out the best move for the day. We may come up with a plan for a local shelter.
