G’morning all
Good morning, Everyone.
It's the best way, but it sure is nice to have some 'off the cob' frozen in the freezer for winter eating. Reminds me I am about out of it.
I am hoping that we will get some cooler than normal days later this summer.Last year our days were all in the high 90s and 100s this time. It was 90s today, but we had a storm and are in the 70s now. Crazy weather.
I have cut the corn off of an ear to add to chicken soup. It is a good addition. My mom used to make cream corn. When I was younger, I'd just about cry. I thought corn on the cob was the only way to eat it. As I got older, I found I love corn any way it comes.
Good Morning!Good morning everyoneenjoy your day
Cut if off the cob after slicing the kernels open and then scraping the milk from the cob. For fresh spicy skillet fried corn we had some jalapeno and or fresh or frozen Cayenne to the corn. Some bacon pieces in the corn is good to. The peppers are a minimum as the Mrs likes some spice but not flaming hot. Just enough pepper to get some flavoring. Neither one of us like bell pepper cooked so that is not an option for us. What we will have for supper tonight is going to have a small poblano that the wind knocked off yesterday and on new crop jalapeno. I'll be busy most of the day shucking and helping with the corn. I'll have to haul cobs and shucks to the back corner in the garden tractor cart. Hoping one cart full will get it all. So this is my Good Morning to All and wishing every one a fruitful day. Catch up with the goings on later in the day. Sorry but so much is going on I just don't remember very much of who is doing what any more.Seeing .03 turn into 3" makes me wonder if Mother Nature understands decimal points.
How do you make cream corn? I've only seen the stuff that came out of a can.

Even though it is hot here in the summer, I still make soup! Friday is Clam Chowder.
Debby you can get better cream corn from the frozen food case in tubes. Some even has a little pepper spice in it. Ready for the skillet.
Sounds delicious!Cut if off the cob after slicing the kernels open and then scraping the milk from the cob.
