Good morning DMC, what are you up to today? Is everything almost ready for the wedding?

I baked some cupcakes. They are too moist and separating from the wrappers…causing me a little anxiety. I may have to find a different recipe.

I did a test run on a hydrangea for the centerpieces and it did not go well. At 6.5 hours in, they were drooping. I just sent pictures to Alisha. Not sure what to do or use to help the situation. I read Alum may help. I don’t have any of course. I thought she was using fake.

Sounds like a frustrating day DMC, sorry Maybe fake hydrangeas are the way to go instead of real?

This was fresh picked last night. This is what she wants. Everything else is fake. So many things haven’t gone her way. I hate to burst her bubble. She is getting these from co-workers. I hope they are available by the wedding. The one in the picture is from my neighbor. She said I could have hers too but there isn’t enough for what Alisha needs.

I’m seriously thinking about picking up a bunch from hobby lobby as a backup and not telling her. I can always return them. She may end up just having to use floating candles instead. Frustrating.

Interesting bit in that article, it says hydrangeas take their moisture in by their petals, not the stem.

Guess that's why it says misting the head or even dunking it in water, keeps them fresher.
