Thanks Debby! I saw that one when I googled.
I've never tried to grow hydrangeas (or keep cut ones fresh) so can't vouch for the ideas. But maybe worth a try anyway!

I revived one once that I got from a church I cleaned at. It was literally sticks in a pot. I put it on my deck in indirect light and it grew into a beautiful plant. I brought it in for the winter and it died.I've never tried to grow hydrangeas (or keep cut ones fresh) so can't vouch for the ideas. But maybe worth a try anyway!
I tried that. I think I drowned it. This was the result. It did not come back.

This was fresh picked last night. This is what she wants. Everything else is fake. So many things haven’t gone her way. I hate to burst her bubble. She is getting these from co-workers. I hope they are available by the wedding. The one in the picture is from my neighbor. She said I could have hers too but there isn’t enough for what Alisha needs.

Its beautiful but I think your backup plan is great.I’m seriously thinking about picking up a bunch from hobby lobby as a backup and not telling her. I can always return them. She may end up just having to use floating candles instead. Frustrating.
I have never had any luck with them. My mother had several of them. She had blues and pinks and used coffee grounds to change the colors.I revived one once that I got from a church I cleaned at. It's still Monday a couple time zones over. So Happy Birthday @sourland. This is my one and only post for Monday. Yes it's been one of those days. Like the old song said "Hotter than a $2 Pistol."
