So we're making Grandma Wallace's 'lemon'raisin cookies- my job is to score the dough balls with a fork dipped in sugar. I finish the first tray, and say, "Why can't I smell the lemon?" The Princess says, "There's no lemon in them." To which I reply, "Then we have a problem." Regroup - add lemon extract.

Hello everyone! We're just having an easy-going morning here. I think it was 28°F when I went out this morning, but for some reason it felt colder than that. I'm still in my jacket.

I found the pin and clip that goes to our gator cart/wagon this morning that I lost last night, so I was happy for that. I was out there in a headlamp, and thinking a hardware store run would be the answer. It was almost like finding the needle in the hay stack (it's pretty much our hay wagon, and in all the loose hay on the ground.)

Anyways, boring stories, here. Trying to keep the dogs from tearing up their early plushie Christmas gifts (pipedream, they all get torn up eventually.)

Perhaps - she had a bag of dark raisins sitting out - we always use yellow, but I kept my mouth shut and chopped them up. She later asked me why I didn't use the yellow raisins that were in the bag. "Umm, perhaps because you had the others sitting out?"
