Well the rancher just handed me a can of this:

which wouldn't have been my first choice, but essentially it's like treating fly strike on a chicken. Once the wool is off, it helps a lot to treat it of course, but I would just do multiple doses of permethrin spray and debriding all of the maggots until there aren't any left.

I've never been to a Renaissance Fair but imagine people dressed in costumes and munching on giant turkey legs. Hope there is more to it than that. :lol:

I picked up a new buckling yesterday after our last job but I haven't taken any pictures yet. It rained the whole way home and we don't have a covered stock trailer, only a stock rack, so I felt so bad. He did great, though.

Yesterday was the first fly strike I'd found in a sheep this year. Poor girl's whole back half was covered. She was cute so I got she does alright.
