The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Didn't take me long to get back into the house. Its only 80 but the humidity is 94% .
I got a little weeding done, the feeders filled, and 1/2 the waterers cleaned and filled. The other half are on my evening schedule.
Tomorrow is Maggie's spay appointment so I need to fill, refill, and prep everything this evening so I can drop her off early. I'm very nervous about her surgery because of all her health issues, but we certainly do not want her getting pregnant.

I hope her surgery goes well.

It’s going to be humid here all week. It’s really nice out this morning so I am going out shortly to get a few things done. I have to load up on mosquito spray because they are awful. Hubby wants to spray the yard because they are so bad.

The neighbors decided to party again last night. DH made the mistake of saying he didn't hear them so now I can see I'll have to work on my attitude today. (Actually the man could sleep through an earthquake, a marching band and a rocket blast off happening all at once, so his opinion doesn't count for much.)

Jen, that reading for pizza thing...my kids did that and we spent quite a few dinners at Pizza Hut because of it (which they loved)!

Janie, keep us posted on how Maggie's appointment goes tomorrow.

DMC, are you reading anything special while you wait for the library book to come in?

They didn't bring a stock trailer, just came to look. I hope they take him--they were kind of a hard read.

That sounds like a good idea. I didn't know such curtains existed! I guess any thick curtain would probably help. Too bad it's not a light issue, the black out curtains work really well.

Maybe the lady will still come back and pick him up.

I couldn't find sound deadening curtains so bought the thickest black out ones I could find. I could even double those up if needed. And if they don't do enough, I'm looking at covering the windows with some sort of material (maybe foam board or a padded piece of plywood?).

The neighbors aren't new but they are definitely louder than they used to be. Neighbors are one more reason to enjoy winter...nothing takes care of backyard parties like a foot of snow!

So you were the treasurer at your club? Make sure the candidate is accountable (Did you ever hear that old joke about old bookkeepers? They never die, they just become unbalanced. My former MIL was a bookkeeper and that was her favorite joke.)
