Good morning, all.

The weather was wild around us last night. We are lucky and only got a trace of rain. My son is 2.5 miles from us and has been without power since midnight. He was just on the edge of a major power outage. Hubby is getting a generator ready for him. It sounds like late this afternoon into evening we could get some bad storms which may cause Derecho winds. It could be a repeat of the storms that caused us major damage in May of 2022. I hope the forecasters are wrong.🤞

I hope they are wrong. You all got more than your share of damage. Good luck to your son! I hope he has his power back soon.
 
Good Monday morning, everyone!

My mom and my sister drove up yesterday. My mom wanted to borrow a trailer and wanted to pick up some tile. I offered to drive it down, but she said she wanted to come pick huckleberries. We must've picked close to a gallon. You can go sell them for $60-80 a gallon to the RV tourist towns. So that was nice and we had birthday cake.

I have a small job today, but it's 2 hours away (they said they would "make it worth my time" but it's cool out today and should be a nice drive anyways.

I will try to check back in and catch up once I'm back home!

Awesome dog fun! I love adventure dogs! They remind me of my granddog, Sookie. We lost her to cancer earlier this year. She was 17 years old. She had a very adventurous life thanks to my son the wanderer.
Speaking of the wanderer, his first baby is due today. I hope she will stick to the due date because dil is ready to welcome her into the world.

Sookie sounds like a neat dog. It's always fun to have an adventure buddy! I hope your son and DIL have a blessed and easy (enough) time welcoming their new baby! Definitely keep us posted, Janie!
