The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Nice you can do that. I don't have that option. We're an hour from any major shopping. I think I can get 2 day delivery from Costco.
Honestly, I don't see how they can make anything delivering this far out.
They also offer a membership for around $150 a year so that delivery is free. I'd still need to tip each time so I'm not sure it would be worthwhile.
As it is, I generally just order online for pickup. I don't go in the store too often because then my 1.5 hour trip turns into a 2 to 3 hour trip. I hate leaving Jim by himself so long. He is an old crippled man who loves heavy machinery and hates carrying his cell phone. He worries me to death. Lol.

Did you get what you ordered Janie? I've read some funny stories of folks that were surprised by things they got but didn't order.

It's nice you have that option when you need it!
That has happended to me a few times doing pickup but this time was very smooth. I have gotten tomatillos rather than asparagus a couple of times. Fortunately I enjoy surprises 🤣
I almost forgot. I ordered one new cheese grater, yesterday, and got two. One was stuck inside the other. I had to use a hammer to get it loose.

Goid morning all.
My Son and daughter in law live downstairs, she does the delivery thing. We have a small Neighborhood Walmart nearby, and the bigger one in town.
Good morning, Cynthia. Its nice to see you here.

I had my groceries delivered for the 1st time, yesterday. That gave me time to clean the refrigerator.
I was shocked that Walmart would deliver this far out. (We are 30 minutes from the nearest Walmart.)
Anyway, I paid $10 for the delivery and then tacked on an $18 tip so it isn't something I'll do often but I made good use of the hour I saved.
That is one thing covid did for us. We use their delivery service almost exclusively! I figure even with the tip and gas money we still come out ahead! Grocery shopping is overrated anyhow! 🙂

A trip to town for me is usually an all day affair. I have to map it out in my mind. Start at the furthest location and work my way back. I hate when I have to backtrack, that usually happens when hubs or oldest son call and say "are you still shopping? Can you pick up such and such?".:barnie:gig

Your hubby sounds like mine! 💗💗💗

I agree. Its one of my least favorite tasks.
