The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hello! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
We have some controlled burns going across the area and some welcome rain, but generally it's been a lovely fall. The dogs were happy to get out in the "backyard" today.

I think we (my sister and I) have about 500 more head to shear before the end of November, so that will be keeping me busy and I will try to remember to take some pictures if sheep defleecing is not too boring to see on repeat, haha.

Anyways, thanks for letting me jump in sporadically (even though you have no choice, haha). I am feeling a bit less like dead-weight lately, so I am grateful for you all sticking this year out with me, haha.

Happy Friday! 🎃

Hi Jen! Beautiful pictures.

Yes, it is, but I hate that 45 minute drive. Its very boring and mostly flat land between here and there. (Although, we do pass through the forbidden zone)

(There are no apes, nor has Charalton Heston been spotted there. Its forbidden because it has a filtration center and pipes water to the dallas metro area.)

Our last key lime cheesecake from Collin Street was awful. Whoever packaged it let water get into the styrofoam container. It froze and when it started to thaw it saturated the cheesecake. It was very disappointing, and a little embarrassing, because we had company over.
Haha, I love the sign! That one looks easy to miss, so it's good to point these out.

Well that would be terrible to brave the forboden zone for a soggy cheesecake! I would totally be that company who could suffer through that for you, though, Janie 😁. Hopefully you gave the bakery some feedback or somehow won't risk prosecution for one of those again!
