Yeah that was a shock for me! I am slowly heading for yuck on the snow! Too much too soon! Way too early for me to feel like that lol! Chickens are freaked out, I have a heavy duty tarp for the roof of our run until I have the cash for metal. It works well, but every time this heavy snow falls off and hit the tarp our birds freak out! I think the latest pullets are the cause of it! They didn`t act like that last year! Not a problem staying warm! Our good old woodstove is cooking as we speak lol! Have a great day Debby!

I got so tired of being cold sitting in my home office, so finally ordered this, a heated lap blanket, about a month ago. I'm absolutely loving it and kicking myself for not getting one years ago.

Maybe I should have posted this in the old folks forum.

We're looking at a warm up too. This bit of snow has made me want to stock up on things so a trip to the store will happen once I don't have to wear 6 layers of clothing.

Hi Debbie, glad you've found something that works for you. I keep a lap blanket on the back of my office chair and it comes in very handy (I'm actually wrapped up in it now).

I`m on the couch woodstove is about 8 feet away and it has a thermostaticaly controlled blower! I `m toasty! But sleepy hahaha! Oh well! That`s the beauty of retirement!

No snow so far, but otherwise it's a full blown winter day. My body is not ready for this. Spent 3 hours outside this morning and am still chilled.
