Thank you! I was pretty spoiled and also made several pieces in my aunts shop. It was a big thing back then.

It's kind of making a comeback. There's a shop in the Tri-Cities and also in Spokane.

These are keepsakes and I'm so glad my daughter wants one. She would also like the other one, but that's mine for now.

My Mom did the same thing. I think it is up in the attic 'crawl space'. I need to check on that.

Glad to hear ceramic studios may be making a come back. A woman I worked with years ago had a studio but it didn't last very long. If one opens around here, I'd love to make a Christmas tree of my own.

So do we, I greatly dislike pine needles...lol Ours are self inflicted, we planted the trees, what were we thinking!

It seems like they constantly drop needles and pine cones!

Most of it will be done for us. It’s basically to stick decorations in them. I’ll try and get a picture.

Good morning, yet again, DMC. I hope the school kids are behaving well. I know you are looking forward to your Christmas break this year.

I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving break. Having a 1:1 child this year means I don’t have to deal with a lot of the kids. I’m not in the lunchroom and am only outside 5 minutes. Long enough to make sure my kid comes back in from recess. My job is not easy, but most days go pretty fast.

I'm supposed to be organizing, but I'm just not feeling it...lol

So, I decided to do a tiny bit of decorating...

These are both tree's that my mother made in my aunts ceramic shop, back in the early 70's. We lost her last year on the 18th, she will be forever missed. She was 93.

I've put this one up for years. It fits perfectly with my blue and silver this year.

I'm giving this one to my daughter this year. We're doing a little repair work. The base had a crack, fixed with epoxy and hubs will be adding a new power cord. It's also missing some ornaments and she wants a star topper, I was able to find both and ordered them.

And they are not good for lawns. Earlier this summer my husband reminisced about thinking how cool it was to finally see pinecones growing, the cool factor wore off a long time ago...
