Jim wants to go to the bakery today. He wants to get cookies for Thanksgiving. One of our girls is bringing a couple of pies and a cobbler so I don't see the need. The little kids would just as soon eat oreos or chips ahoy. Lol. I guess I'll give in and go anyway. Make an old man happy.

Hi Debby. Not yet. I’ll bake a couple pies tomorrow and some Rhodes rolls. We only have a half day of school tomorrow. I’m getting a little nervous about the weather. I saw this morning that we are in a Winter storm warning. I hope the weather person is wrong.
How about you?

I don't think I've heard of Rhodes rolls.

I think most of the US is getting winter storm or at least freeze warnings. We are supposed to be below freezing for a couple of nights next week but I do not see any precipitation yet.

Hope the weather doesn't cause you guys problems. What kind of pies are you baking?

We're going to keep things simple for Thanksgiving dinner...a turkey breast, roasted veggie assortment and mashed sweet potatoes. DH decided to go on a diet and doesn't want any sweets around, so probably no dessert (he is such a killjoy!).

No desert oh no! I like desert way too much lol!
