The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Not much Kelsey! Resting on the couch after shoveling snow and taking care of our birds! How about you?
Oh nice! Just doing dishes LOL I let them stack up a bit :hide usually I try to do them immediately but not this time LOL

Good morning Debby! I got all of the shoveling done that is needed for now! Winter storm warning here until 7 tonight! Any more that we get will be lake effect snow from the great lakes. You just never know how that plays out until it does! Have a great day! 😊

Hope you don't end up with a bunch more to shovel, that's hard work.

We had strong winds and some rain last night but no snow expected until tomorrow (maybe). It's a cold 37* this morning, that's the highest it will get.

Yeah I hope not too! Warning still in effect until 7pm if it snows more it will be lake effect snow that is very unpredictable! Then Monday morning in the low teens! I worry about our birds at those temps! I will likely rig a spot that is a bit warmer for them. You folks don`t normally get much snow in KY do you?

Good morning Janie! Kind of hard to tell with so much blowing and drifting. I would say easily 10 inches or more! With the winter storm warning in effect until 7:00 pm tonight! Still blowing, snowing just a bit right now. Here we get lake effect snow from the Great lakes I think mostly from Lake Michigan as we are straight east of the lower portion of it. Low 40`s would be cold enough for me too! Monday morning here is supposed to be in the low teens! Makes me worry about our feathered friends! I will likely rig up a spot that is a bit warmer for them. I was very sorry to hear about your beloved dog... that really is heartbreaking... I don`t cry that easily but that would have done it for me. Anyhow enjoy your cooler weather and have a great day! 😊
Wow. Lots of snow. I hope you can figure a way to keep your feathered friends warm. If you have some plant/seedling warmers you could stick some in the nesting boxes. The hens ( & roosters) can go in and warm up occasionally. You could also line some boxes with old blankets or towels that you don't mind throwing out for temporary huddle houses.

Thank you again for your condolences. I'm not too much of a Cryer but I've used a box plus of kleenex. I am sad that Maggie had such a rough life before she found us and that her life was cut short.
