Lol nothing wrong with that once in a while! Have a great day Kelsey! 😊
I'm respectfully disagreeing. I hate doing dishes, so I do them several times a day. When they build up I feel overwhelmed.
Do them dishes as you go, @ShrekDawg
Its much easier than tackling a stack.
🤣

Yeah I hope not too! Warning still in effect until 7pm if it snows more it will be lake effect snow that is very unpredictable! Then Monday morning in the low teens! I worry about our birds at those temps! I will likely rig a spot that is a bit warmer for them. You folks don`t normally get much snow in KY do you?

When I lived in Wyoming, my flock was comfortable with their run wrapped (left it open at the very top) and we always got crazy cold winters there. I would leave their coop door going into the run open so they could either be in their coop or out in their wrapped run and they always got through the winters ok.

We just moved to KY in summer of 2023. For the 2023 winter there wasn't much snow at all and for the 2024 winter it snowed pretty often. So who knows what winter 2025 will bring...maybe nothing or maybe something

You know you've had enough snow when your car looks like this:

Wow. Lots of snow. I hope you can figure a way to keep your feathered friends warm. If you have some plant/seedling warmers you could stick some in the nesting boxes. The hens ( & roosters) can go in and warm up occasionally. You could also line some boxes with old blankets or towels that you don't mind throwing out for temporary huddle houses.

Thank you again for your condolences. I'm not too much of a Cryer but I've used a box plus of kleenex. I am sad that Maggie had such a rough life before she found us and that her life was cut short.
I do have a couple of cozy panel heaters in the coop as well as an oil filled radiant heater not sure they will go in until dust though! I think i`m going to buy one of the 40 inch long sweeter heaters just for temps that low. Run is pretty draft free with ventilation well above their heads. You guys gave her a great life for the time you had her. She got to know what being loved felt like! That is more than some animals get and likely some people too... Sadly.

That is good to know Debby. That`s about how I do it here, run wrapped with greenhouse plastic film ventilation high and door to coop open. At least in KY I doubt it stays around very long!

Yeah that’s what I’ve been trying to do lately cause I used to always let them stack up and/or get crusted on or whatever and then it’s way harder and I don’t feel like doing it LOL so now I try to do them immediately. But this time I let them stack again. :hide it’s a work in progress. :lau :hide but considering I’m only one person and usually only have one dish and one silverware, I should do it immediately LOL

Good morning DMC! November 2016 must have been a good year for stray kittens...that's when my sweet Opie boy showed up on our doorstep. So nice of you to provide a home for all the catsā¤ļø
Hi Debby. We adopted our Opie in December of 2016 so Spuds would have a buddy. It took 24 hours of chasing each other and they became friends.

Good morning. Very lightly snowing here.

I’m glad she finally knew what love was. :hugs😢

I hate doing them too. So does my daughter-in-law. We love to bake, but the cleaning up after….not so much.
