The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Old school education had a lot going for it! We have two Autustic grandsons, they are both experts on devices. The youngest can operate two devices at once! I` m not sure how they will be able to fit in society though... I worry about it.
Nate's the same. He can take apart a pnone or video console and put it back together and tell you anything about any video game, but he lacks basic skills and knowledge. He has to be told to shower, brush his teeth, and his hair. I worry about him. I'm afraid his 14 year old brother will always be looking out for him.

Sorry for him too! I worry about our two grandsons too. Both are very smart but not sure how it will go for them in the future...

Morning Janie, Old Trusty is still hanging in there. It's sort of like me, slower and with more glitches day by day. :gig
I am glad the two of you have bonded. 🤣
About 12 years ago, a friend that was raising her grandson told me how disgusted she was with his education. He didn't know how to write cursive, couldn't tell time on an analog clock and had no clue what Roman numerals were. She was trying to fill in the blanks on her own. Kids need every bit of learning they can get, the world hasn't gotten any less challenging.
Yes! If only the schools would concentrate on basic education they would have time to teach that stuff. They have 7 hours a day to teach and they are too busy undermining parents, religion, and common sense, to do so. (I better hush now.)
