It’s an hour for us also, one way. Sam’s is 2+ hours. If I could have groceries delivered that would be a dream.I have prime. It pays for itself very quickly around here...lol Cheaper than the hour drive to town and back.
That's what I usually do too. I like controlling the ingredients in my food.Let me know how you like it. I’m trying a different recipe today too. I usually use 100 grams of starter. The new recipe calls for 150 and 25 grams more of flour. I’ve never made an actual sandwich loaf. I use just flour, salt, water, and starter.
Yep 2 hours round trip and usually several hours in town. Right, that would be nice. I just learned that Costco does two day delivery from the local warehouse out to our area. I haven't tried that yet and it probably costs extra. It’s an hour for us also, one way. Sam’s is 2+ hours. If I could have groceries delivered that would be a dream.
Thank you. Do you do equal grams of honey for sugar? Did you post your pan? I’m sure you did. That's what I usually do too. I like controlling the ingredients in my food.
I'll let you know how it turns out. I will be baking it in my new cast iron loaf pan.
Here's the recipe. He also shows step by step on YouTube. The videos are never very long and he doesn't talk a lot.

Like I said, I substituted honey for the sugar. I try to do that wherever I can. I also use his sourdough recipe, turns out really well.
Yes, I used equal grams. Not sure if that's what I should have done, but I think it will work fine.Thank you. Do you do equal grams of honey for sugar? Did you post your pan? I’m sure you did.![]()
I think it’s similar to Sam’s. I have free shipping with my Sam’s Club account when you spend $50. It used to be free no matter what you spent. They shipped my husband’s stinky bath soap this last time with my bag of cat food. They apparently don’t know cats are picky. I used to order soap by itself so that didn’t happen.Yep 2 hours round trip and usually several hours in town. Right, that would be nice. Nice pans. I am usually humbled when I try and change the recipe.Yes, I used equal grams. Not sure if that's what I should have done, but I think it will work fine.
I'm going to use one of my new cast iron pans. I bought a set, so that I can cover when needed.
This recipe calls for an open bake, with steam. He uses a pan that he puts boiling water into. I'm thinking about just covering my bread. But, I will probably follow his instructions this time, then try that in my next bake. Then I'll have something to compare it to.

Online prices can sometimes be higher than in the warehouse at Costco. So, they get a little for shipping, even though it says free. And some items show a cost for shipping. So, it's never really free. It's the same for Amazon, a lot of the time you're paying more than you would in a store. I use it for convenience.I think it’s similar to Sam’s.
