The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Today I have to decide what to make for DH's birthday (it's tomorrow). He always fusses at me and says not to bother, but that goes against my grain...everyone with a b-day deserves a treat whether they want one or not!

My options are either blueberry/lemon cheesecake squares or Guinness brownies. He can take any extra to work, his crew will polish things off.

I bet he actually loves treats on his birthday! Treats are part of what makes a birthday a great day!

I checked the pantry and discovered I have to go to the store for any treat recipe. Apparently we are low on flour, sugar and butter (it really has been a while since I did any baking!). And the blueberries I bought just the other day have already turned to mush. Weirdly enough, I have plenty of lemons, cream cheese and Guinness. A person would think the usual baking ingredients wouldn't be a problem

Ugh, hoping this wind dies down for just a bit so I can run to the store. I bet shopping carts are rolling all over the store parking lot bashing into everything.
