I got one 2 weeks ago when my hen turned into a rooster. It has worked great! Put it on really loose and he didn't crow at all for a week, then started but was much quieter. I just tightened it a bit 2 days ago and no crowing yet. It just prevents I big breath intake for the full on crow. Just be sure when you first put it on to hold him til he calms. When you put him down he will back up all over the place so be sure he is confined after about 15 min he'll forget it was there. Good luck hope this helped!
