Well, we got them in the mail and they all had dried poop on their little butts. I cleaned them off, even soaked their butts in warm water to soften it, and one of them pooped right away. A LOT! The other, only a little (the two others weren't so bad). The little brahma died during the night. I feel so bad. I looked online and saw where ground up oatmeal might help so I tried that and it was like crack to them! All but the one are just fine this morning. So I guess I answered my own question. I'll never, ever have chicks shipped again. This was my first and only experience. It's way to traumatizing for them. I wanted babies that I could handle so they'll be very docile and I wanted to make sure they were females because I live in a suburban area.
