The "Not just chickens" hatch-a-long!!! <3

Today I am getting my 2nd (1st that actually works) incubator! I will be using this incubator to hatch chickens but will also be hatching turkeys, ducks, peachicks, pheasants, guineas ect. I will be trying it all! I currently have ducks, chickens, a peahen, turkey poults, Guinea keets and 2 emu's! The emu's aren't quite old enough yet and I'll actually have to get a totally different incubator for them! Anyways... I hope y'all will go on this hatching journey with me! I will post updates on my hatch as often as I can! I should be starting my my first clutch in a few days. I will be starting with some of my chickens eggs first just to make sure it actually works! My last incubator sucked... erm Enjoy!

I got my incubator! We have a hurricane coming tomorrow though so I won't be hooking it up until after since the power will probably go out. Stay tuned.

Ok people! Got my incubator turned on! It will have to sit for 24 hrs before I add the eggs though. Temp is already at 99.5 right where I want it. waiting on the humidity to get to 50%. I have collected 20 eggs so far to add to my nurture right 360°! Super excited! Remember yall this will be my first incubator experience so bare with me!

I am using a incubator for the first time too!! My eggs are on day 9..... I don’t see a lot of development but I have no clue what I’m looking for anyways, so......

Thought y'all could use a little cuteness while you're all waiting for my incubator journey! This little cutie hatched just now under my little silkie hen "Mother Clucker". This baby is a EE! 8 more eggs due to hatch tomorrow. This baby popped out a day early.

Alright yall! This is starting today! Got 22 eggs in the incubator! 17 EE, 4 sex link OR R.I.R/EE cross and a special little egg that I'm not even sure is fertile but it's worth a try! This special little silkie egg is from my silkie hen Elvira that hasn't layed in quite a while and this egg is super small so it will be cool to see if it hatches! I will also be rehoming all the chicks I'm hatching here so if you're near Polk City, FL you can come and get some of them!

Oh also I added some rubber shelf liner to the bottom of my incubator so when the chicks hatch they have some extra cushion to keep them comfortable and happy. since it's rubber it won't take away from the humidity!
