The Nugget Nest is 95% done!

Well, here's a closer pic of the door into the run, right next to the nest boxes. You might be able to see the upper, triangular door at the peak of the roof for the last vent. And here, their "viewing window is closed because it's a damp, cool day.

Wow. I guess it does! Anyway, at the top of the photo, you can see the vent door that drops down for evn MORE ventilation...

Now let's see if my cell phone's camera can give an OK view of the inside:

The yellow arrows point to the upper vents, which are closed today because it's cool and damp (we needed the rain, but I think I'm ready to get to summer again, LOL) and the red arrow points to the blocked off nest boxes. Out of frame on the middle left is their little viewing window, and you can also see one of the two clean out doors labeled.

The floor of the coop is covered with a single sheet of a sort of cutting board plastic that my Beloved Husband bought. He wanted to make sure that the wood underneath was fully weather and poop-proof *grinz*

And here's me a week ago (-ish) before we finished the run. We put them out under a canopy and fenced with chicken wire while we were working outside. The little girl on my head is Baldilocks, a Dominique whose favorite perch is on top of me!
