The Obamas' fav chocolate is from Seattle! Cute story

I heard the WA State governor tell a funny story tonight. She was in the other Washington earlier this week and had taken some Fran's Salted Caramels to Michelle Obama as a gift.

If you've never had one, they're divine. The salt on them is just exquisite. They're expensive, but a wonderful treat. Mrs. Obama agrees, and has said they're her favorite.

When Gov Gregoire handed over the chocolates, Mrs. Obama said, "Oh, you must not have heard the news! The White House now gives Fran's chocolates as our official gift to guests."

Upon hearing that, President Obama turned to his wife and said, "Oh shoot! I bought you some Fran's chocolates for Valentine's Day and forgot to give them to you!"

Love your story. Hmmm, never have I seen salt on top of beautiful chcolates. But I love salty things and chocolate. Good grief, this could be my downfall for sure

They're $11/6 chocolates, so while delicious, a true treat that you won't (share) eat too many of!

i've only had them 1-2 times.

Heeheee....does the White House have a Dog House attached? That's where my SO would be if he forgot to give me chocolates for Valentines Day.

They do look good though....dang, now I need to go find some chocolate....
