We have some sad news. I just got word Andy Chicken Whisperer lost his Mother suddenly yesterday afternoon. Please keep them in your prayers.

i have a ton of chicks right now from eggs from many BYCers so I will probably load a bunch of them up and bring them.

I am looking for a gray and a partridge silkie roo for breeding. 6 months to a year. Anybody have one they might be bringing?

Also, I checked with our local 4H director & she said if anyone is coming the night before & needs shelter for their birds they are welcome to bring them to the livestock barn. However, she wanted to make sure that you please keep in mind if you do this there will not be anyone there overnight & the 4H office cannot be held responsible for any damages should something occur. They have done this in the past with other livestock & nothing has ever happened before but she did want me to convey this to all. If you plan to do this please contact me before the event so I can arrange to meet you there.

The local newspaper just ran a front page article about the event! They plan do do another article closer to the date too!! That should help with the attendence! I've posted it on Atlanta Backyard Poultry calendar too. I'm getting very excited!!

We will have a table marked to BYC'ers at the Pancake Breakfast. So we can all enjoy breakfast together! I went over to the building the other day to scope out the layout.

It looks like we will have our chickens in the side area under cover with an overflow on the front side. If we could park around on the back side of the building we can use to back gate to come in & out. The did ask that we keep the chickens on the dirt area & not on the concrete part.

The Chicken Whisperer will be able to move around & talk to folks while doing his radio show, then have his class inside the main building. I'm still waiting on all the details from him as far as giveaways & sponsors.
