im not exactly sure what to do with mine, cause ive never done one before. are you breeding for stats or color, or both?

I'm working on Nighshades, going to go for dark purples with red wings and tails with barred heads and bodies and lace tipped tails.
Serama's in fire colors with speckles kind of like a milie fluer or as close as the game will let me get.
Truen Meers in dark creal though they haven't hatched out yet. so I will see what I get.
