May have to keep that water hot then the feathers come off easy too//
I have arthritis in finger but can still pluck a bird.

I have a very good thermometer and will keep it as hot as I can without being too hot. I too have Aurthur messing with my finger joints. I'd like to slap him into the next century.

Yup. It's been a few years since we dressed chickens but I figure its like riding a bicycle. This is the first year for restriction cones to make the dispatch easier. The old chopping block and hatchet was not a good way.

Good Morning Old Folks. We are still dry plant in the garden are happy.
Water bill will take hit. No rain since early May?
The Son waters every night have to keep them growing. water barrels are empty.

We have the big white totes ( two of them), that gather water from the roof of our cabin. So plenty of water for the original garden. I had a rain barrel at the original coop, but the stand it was on rotted. So needing another. I want to collect water from the barn roof and the goat house. Lots of work to be done.
It was hot today, but not so bad after supper. I planted the big pom pom marigolds and some verbena that were wilting. Soaked them in well.

Dh and I are going to get some health screenings today. Sonograms to check for plaque buildup, abdominal aneurysms, that kind of thing. Results in 10 days. We'll see if we're healthy, or have been blissfully ignorant.

I have a doctor’s appointment today too but it’s just a follow up after my discharge. Not really sure what to say during the visit hah

I don't know exactly what I'm doing today. Woke up with a stuffy head. I've been having major allergy problems this year.

I hope the appointment isn’t awkward with nothing to talk about. I’m sure it won’t be because I have some things in mind but still. Getting them out of my mind and into words is another matter sometimes.
