Dude I apologize for hanging that in front of you. I will be good now. ;) My heat lamps have clamps so I just clamp them to the sides of the totes or the top of the big brooder box I have.

I use free big boxes I get from work, hook two together and keep the heat lamp on one side, food and water on the other, flat newspaper for bedding they rip up themselves, don't seem to ever eat newspaper. Plastic garbage bag underneath in case it soaks through. They hang out on whatever side makes them comfortable. When the boxes get stinky I just throw them away and use new ones. I use the red heat bulb because I heard its better for their eyes or sleeping or something.

Oh... The years I kept the chickens in the bathtub I would hang the heat lamp from the shower head cord/hose

I take it you have more than one bathtub/shower ??

I take it that you assume that the people in this family like to bathe? :lau

(But yeah, there are 2bathtubs in the house)

On Alaska the last frontier the Kilchers had a episode they didn't wash their clothes until spring cause they used a old wringer washer with a gas motor outside.

I forgot Alaskan has all boys, they don't require bathing as often Lol.
My great grand father I only bathed when he had something special to go to, just washed his hands otherwise. He moved in with my great aunt one winter she forced him to take a shower and burned his clothes when he was in the bathroom. She had new ones for him but he was still super PO. He never wintered with anyone again. Died at 89 from blood poisoning/gane green, had a broken toe and didn't tell anyone, probably didn't want to have to take a bath.
