We had a Brittany Spaniel when I was a kid, it liked chickens....
Had a birthday party for my youngest brother. One of the little kids left the door open and he got loose. He came back in and threw up three whole chickens as we were eating cake. Later one of the little kids was caught filling dads truck gas tank with stones from the driveway.
I don't think my parent's ever invited people to a birthday after that... :-D

curious, how does one "get someone" a quilt row? do places just sell strips of fabric? There is a place near me that sells quilting stuff but they just have squares of various sizes...

Row by row is a nationwide thing where shops sign up to design a row for a quilt based upon a chosen topic. 2015 was water and 2016 was home sweet home. The shops design their row and you go to the shop and pick the pattern up for free. Shops also sell a kit with fabrics to make the exact row they designed versus picking your own fabrics. You can Google row by row to follow for this summer. They'll post what the designs look like for what shops and you can pick what you want to pick up.
Lots of nice people picked me up kits and the free patterns. If I'm delinquent in sending out a thank you to someone who sent me one please pm me.

Ah, ok, makes sense now. I've never been into quilting. When I was little my church did a quilt in the kids Sunday school, the kids all made squares from strips and then they were machine sewn together into a quilt. At least that was the plan, don't know if it ever got finished
