Thanks y’all.
My surgery is for Aug 27th at 5:30 am. It will be a 3 hr surgery.
I will be in the hospital for 5 days. The first in icu. Dh will be able to visit till 8 pm in icu. But then he can either stay with me or visit as he wants when I’m in my room. They will even let him order off the menu with me.

Micro I do have a recliner but it’s leather and hurts my bones being cold. But I did sleep an hour in this morning. I was desperate!

Put a blanket under you and one on top.

Thank ya'll. I did put a comforter in it this morning to get a couple of hours of sleep. I may try to sleep in it tonight. I sure do need some sleep. An hour or two here or there is sure taking it's toll on me!

If you go to Walmart, get a twin sized foam bed topper. Toss that over the recliner. Climb in, pull up the foot rest.

I can’t lay down to try to sleep. To much pressure.
I am going to have a video consult in the morning with the new surgeon. I’ve had 3 calls from his office in preparation for the consult. I hope that means we will move along quickly.
All this waiting is horrible on my nerves.

Buck and Spot are brother and sister from the same litter with different sires. We think Buck is Walker Coon Hound and Smooth Coated Border Collie and Spot is Jack Russell terrier and Smooth Coated Border Collie. Spot is the Vole hunter and Buck likes to guard his 'chicky birds'.

Thanks @EmmaDonovan. They are 7 years old now and spoiled rotten. Whoever dumped them tossed them out of their vehicle so that when Buck landed, he abraded all the pad off of his front feet. How could anybody do that to a 7 week old puppy.

The little grey cat 'belongs' to Spot. She is forever grooming her and following her around. When June gets enough of her attention, she will swat Spot on the nose and walk away.

Best dog trainer is a cat. Wish our cattle dogs would realize that!

I was told today that I will not get stitches or staples after surgery.
I told her I was worried, since I have COPD and I am a smoker.
She told me they would give me a pillow.
That's what they did to me when I had my appendix out. And I got a hernia
that I could not get fixed for nearly 15 years!

While it's sad the way someone treated them, it turned out good. I know they've been treated very well by you. They both look like sweet dogs.
