The Old Folks Home

I have read that you can have issues like this from progressive lenses.
I've had progressive lenses for decades, not a problem. I can see where using readers for a long time, especially when new to them, would get your eyes kind of "locked" in at a distance and that could cause problems but the fact that the dizziness didn't go away soon, let alone after sleeping through the night, is concerning.

I make my bed the minute I get up, unless Ken is still sleeping in it.
Make it while he is still in it, good and tight. Save you from having to make him anything to eat that day ;)

"Make the bed" is kinda a loose term here. I throw the empty comforter cover (which kinds of serves as a blanket in the summer and is under the blanket in the winter) over everything ... so the cats don't sleep on the pillows.

You are a day early Cynthia!

Have you had any concussions lately?
Getting used to progressives (about 20 years ago?) was easy. Never had a concussion, that I know of.
get thee to yon physician!! What you’re experiencing my be vertigo. It has to do with the little crystals in the inner ear getting out of alignment. So let me ask you a diagnostic question or two. When it happens, do your eyes “dance”? Sounds stupid but the eyes fluttering uncontrollably either up and down or side-to-side during an episode is a common sign of vertigo. Second, do you feel like you’re listing to one side when you try to walk? If you’ve ever been ridiculously drunk, that’s kinda how it feels.
The dizziness has worn off now. Yay. I have had tinnitus (I think) for my entire life. I asked my mom, "What's that noise I hear in my head?" and she told me it was just my brain working. I also have "strange" ear canals; sort of collapsing(?), and my doc is aware of them, but not concerned.

I didn't have the "eye dance" that you referred to. I've had it once or twice when I was sick, so I know what you mean.

I think calling it dizziness was maybe an overstatement...? My balance isn't great to begin with. This was just "a little off."

Tell me more about this Epley Maneuver procedure. I want to ask my doc about it.

I happened to be at the pharmacy today, and asked about a shingles vaccine. Not only do they have them, and it's covered, but he got me in in 10 minutes. While there, I had him check my BP, and it was 111 over 70? (can't recall the lower number, but the upper was 111). And that was after walking around the store for a bit, and I'm a brisk walker if I know where I'm going and what I want.

Great BP numbers.
