Great idea! Those chickens sure do make a mess of our yards, huh? 100 percent all natural grass killers.

no kidding! I'm just waiting for all 7 acres of grass to disappear with these little machines running around

We have a shed very much like that. Ours was deralict when we moved in. Seriously. Very Similar (except ours was green!) We used ours for a chicken coop for a while but it was not situated in a good spot for them and it was horrible to clean (being over 90 years old with a terrible concrete floor made cleaning chicken poop impossible) so we moved the chickens to a new shed and the goats now enjoy the luxury of the 13x17ft goat barn.

I have to fight with that concrete floor, too! It's a pain, but it works really well otherwise lol

I always wanted rubber stall matts for mine, so maybe try it out. They work great in horse stalls so why not in a chicken shed right? And once a year you could pull them out and pressure wash them. Our building was missing half the footings in places so they had to be redone (badly) and we have this gigantic bunker thing at one end that I think was a meat store area as the building was originally an ice house for storing meat and milk.

the rubber stall matts are a GREAT idea! We have horses and my grandpa raised them for years so maybe I could scrounge some up.
