The Outlaw Chickens Thread.

Sigh. I just dont know what all the hype is about having a few chickens. Most areas, there are already rules in place for cats, dogs etc.
It couldnt be that difficult to include chickens, even if its only a couple or three, into the "pet" rules.

I'm allowed 4 per city rules. I have 40 eggs in the bator, all shipped. Every single egg is developing.

They're all banty sized, but I'll end up giving away the extras.

I can own 3 farm animals (chickens, cows, sheep, whatever) on my property, but have had more than 3 chickens in the past and will have 8 chickens and two turkeys mid-May. We all live in a rural sort of setting on 1/2 acre lots. There are wetlands behind me. I have nice neighbors who do not complain.

If the city does complain, I will just apply for a conditional use permit, (or in front of the confronting officer, butcher my extra birds for a nice BBQ).

I am totally illegal... I have a "coop" that looks like a dog house... and a sign that says "RABBITS". As far as anyone is concerned, I have 3 rare Chernobyl Rabbits (silkies) and one very rare Exotic Amazonian White Crested Parrot (Bantam WC Polish)... no one will ever know.
