I love silkie mixes, so I would love pictures ! Although I don’t have one, our silkie rooster died a few years ago, and he never produced offspring.

Sounds good. She's actually the only bird I ever hatched... I've only incubated once and she was my only success. She's pretty special to me

Wow! I know how that feels, a have a couple special ones myself! I’ve never used an incubator though, we’ve always used the old hen method!

I actually used a homemade incubator (styrofoam method) so was happy with result haha

I actually don't know haha, I've never used a store bought. It was fairly low maintenance though, it held heat really well!

Two extra white eggs today! I am surprised at how much bigger the left one is than the right! Must be from the one laying longest.

Some comparison between a full Buff Brahma, and a buff Brahma bantam Cochin mix.
Here is Bo, Bootsie’s father, full LF Buff Brahma:

Lighter buff coloring on body feathers, hackles, and saddles. Large in size, typical for a Buff Brahma (or any Brahma variation). Has extra black on breast.

And his son, Bootsie:

Darker shades of buff, less black, and darker golden/orange coloring on hackles, shoulders, and saddles (probably coming from the Red bantam Cochin side). Smaller in size, a little taller than a bantam Cochin rooster, with longer legs.
