The perfect coop.

All @IamRainey and others have said, plus 7’ tall minimum, people door, tons of natural light & windows, door openings big enough for a wheelbarrow to fit through, droppings board, auto pop door, plenty of ventilation, plenty of shade during summer, exterior motion light...I’m sure there’s more!

So I live in Farmville California lol summers it's gets to 110 at the hottest and if you ever get to freezing it's maybe 2 nights a year. No snow ever. Rain is minimal. Not windy very often.

And I have 15 chickens on order.
A small dog got in the property and decided to help themselves to my last couple of hens this winter.

In that climate my dream coop would be like this (but way bigger):

A perch with poop shelf would be against the back wall, a large open communal type nest box under one half of the poop shelf, the other half would be set up as a chick/broody cage with wire front.

Large trashcan feeder with pipe ports for feed.

The entire thing well skirted so zero wild birds or rodents getting in.

A small pop door on whatever side to give them access to free range during the day.
