OK, so first I bought some cochin eggs on eBay, then I won a dozen eggs (variety of breeds) in a contest here on BYC. I also bought Royal Palm eggs here on BYC, won some more cochin eggs, put some of my Lemon Pyle Brahma's eggs in the 'bator. Along with all this fun, I had two hens go broody, so I gave them some eggs, too.

Here we are a few weeks later, and I'm drowning in chicks!

My first batch - Assorted cochins and some of my poults - I had 9 of 12 hatch, but only kept 4 (Royal Palms)

This is Buttercup, the Lemon Pyle Brahma with her foster chicks, cochins

Here are Buttercup's real babies (although she doesn't know it). So far we have Peanut Butter (the oldest), Butterscotch, and Skippy, but I'm running out of "butter" names!

Now for Ebony - Her first batch of eggs started hatching Wednesday. I went out to the coop Thursday morning and found a snake in her box - no eggs, no babies. Poor Ebbie! I took some of my "mystery" eggs that I won here on BYC and put them under her. She happily settled in and hatched them this morning (fourth one still hatching)

As for the rest of the incubated eggs - here they are!
