I would fathom a guess, lets call it an uneducated guess lol, that wether or not they're show quality or hatchery quality, if they're from the same place with at least likely the same rooster daddy and they're combs are THAT different, it would make sense that you have one of each! I know that different birds can develop at different rates, but with my bunch (and these are my first bunch, hence my uneducatedness!), the only two of my birds of the same breed that looked THAT different were my silkie hen and roo! You can see my post below of when they were younger for comparison (Rusty started crowing about two weeks after the post!)
