This morning I went down to open the coop as usual. Laying in the grass beside the run is a rabbit head.
I feel like the mob is leaving me death threats

I just saw two racoons this morning, The didnt kill any of my chickens but it felt like they were giving me a warning. I doubled security around my coop.

ha ha
just went to close up the coop, late. I have a board up to keep the puppies out (until I decide where I want pop holes) as I swung my leg over the board something ran out bumping into the back of my thigh - at first I thought it was one of my hens, dark red, but about 25 lbs and super fast with a long tail ran over the edge of the hill and into the woods in 2 seconds...everyone in the hen house was asleep and up off the ground, totally fine...
I'm thinking now the pop holes will be up high,
dh says it was a fox, if it was a coyote it would have bit me, time to pack heat again..sigh

well, I found the entrails hanging in a tree, so I'm pretty sure that we can chalk it up to an owl.
