The predators are really my neighbors, but...

Doesn't this make life so much easier?

I am a new guy on the forum, but a few days ago while lurching I read this thread.

One thing I can tell you. It will always be something with nieghbors like these. Composter-- you got rid of it, gone problem solved. Nope, now it's skunks, skunks I say. BOLOGNA! Next it's going to be your car is to loud. You cut your grass wrong. You talk to loud, Your lights are to bright. The chickens are noisey.

Go ahead and tell her off now, get it over with, they ain't never going to be good nieghbors, so why worry yourself over it. Tell them face to face, they are not welcome on your property, or in your home.

The child, well I can't turn my back on a child. Not the kids fault she has a donkey for a mom.

I AGREE with stevens post above. We tried to be accomodating and the idiot neighbors demands just became worse and more frequent. Say "no" to them and end it now or it will only get worse!

I haven't read this whole thread but it sounds like you should tell her to hush or you will call the cops about the skunk she has in her yard being predators to your pets/chickens.
I have a skunk around my place but after a few nudges to move on he did. He wanted water and free food. He was cute as can be but he gave me a huge dose of reality on one of my urgent nudging's. I since just keep the pen shut up at night and all is well. Now for the weasel that digs holes and kills chicks dragging them down into it.
Glad I don't have your citified neighbor.
Hope all turned out well for you.

My neighbors to the north don't live there, but have made their property a playground and a picnic area. They do have one teenage boy who loves to play his drums...day or night...makes no difference to them. They are not usually there, but when they are there, they are very loud and there are kids everywhere.

We asked them to tone down the drum playing, because you can hear it for almost a mile away, and they did....a bit.

To show my appreciation for the drums I moved my compost pile right next to the fence which is close to their picnic area. The drums have stopped, but the 20 or so young kids are still there.

Next project.....big barking dog. Right now, we have a little chihuahua. She barks a lot, but not loud enough.

I didn't read all the post on this subject, but I think the Lady (?) who is doing all the complaining is overstepping her bounds. I would totally ignore the woman. She obviously has too much time on her hands.

I'd just wireless mic the dog and get a speaker system. Big dog barks are much easier to live with than amplified little dog barks.
