Hi, folks! For those of you not on the duck thread, I am brand new this year to keeping ducks, and write a blog called The Pretend Homestead where I talk about my (mis)adventures into trying to become more self-sufficient. I’ve had the blog for about a year now and am trying to be better about writing and wanted to share here just in case any of you would like to follow along!

My main goal is to be completely honest in telling the story - both successes and failures - of my attempt at creating a more sustainable lifestyle.
