OMG! I thought my chick was mutant the first time she purred!!! LMAO. I am glad to know it is a normal chicken thing. My first chickens didn't do that, at least not that I knew of, but they were 'ranch chickens'. My EE Munk dustbathes in the sun and dirt, and the ENTIRE time she is purring! LOUDLY. I had NO idea what the heck that sound was, but am glad I found this post LOL
