I have 4 Golden Comets that are just over a year old, I introduced 4 RIR's this year, the Comets still run them ragged even though they have been in the same run and coop for several months, the RIR's are not quite mature yet, should be laying in about a month, will they ever peacefully co exist ?

Possibly...
These things take time but your comets may never accept them. You may want to consider observing your birds, if the RIR's seem to be challenging the comets, that's your problem, look for actions such as a raised alert neck, direct eye contact, and wing flapping, if they don't do any of these, the problem is the comets, they will probably accept them in a bit and their just showing who's boss update us in a week or so to let us know.

I have some established hens & I have new girls ready to lay next month. I have them in separate coops & runs that are next to each other. They free range in the yard but they stay separated for the most part. The big girls will chase the new girls to assert dominance. I am going to be trying a few different things to get them all together but I know & expect some issues so I will figure out what works & what doesn't work. Good luck!
