I have never had a rabbit that was greasy. All the ones that I have eaten were lean meat.

Entirely possible it was the preparation. I had it when I was visiting Malta, and the dish was fried rabbit with a stew-like brown gravy ladled over it.

The cranberry pie tastes like a mix of cranberries and tart cherries. It is not going to last long.
