I have a Big BLRW rooster that stays out of the chicken house all the time. He sleeps outside even in the pouring down rain. I don't know what to do I'm afraid he'll get sick and die. I guess he's just a tough old bird?

Does he appear healthy? At proper weight. Plumage glossy?

Do you have another dominant rooster that may be pushing him out? If that is the case, it probably isn't his choice and his health may suffer.

If however, there is enough room in the house, he isn't being hazed, there isn't a parasite issue driving him out...he may be protecting the flock like a sentinel. You might make a little lean to cover for him over his favorite place so he has some protection out of the hard rain.

My thoughts.

How many birds?
Size of coop(feet by feet)?
Total roost length(feet)?

Number of cock/erels? Already been asked.
