She's turned so dark. A Red Sexlink would have more white, right?

That looks like a production red or RIR pullet to me, the red sex-links I have had all had more white than that.

How do you tell the difference between a Production Red and an RIR?

She's from Welp, which has both, part of an "Assorted brown egg layer" package.

I don't know enough to be able to tell the difference in a young pullet and hatcheries sometimes use the two names interchangeably which confuses things further. As adults, true RIRs will usually be darker than production reds, since the latter are crossed with New Hampshire Reds.
 
RIR pullet!

RIR should be a deep red color. Show stock being almost black they are such a deep mahogany.

Production Reds are a more faded red with almost an orange overcast to them. Sort of like if you left a RIR out in the sun for 3 years and it got sun bleached.
